October 19, 2010 Update: Ride Rained Out
What a bummer, after the Great Pumpkin brought us such nice weather yesterday …
I’ve been refreshing Hourly Weather all day, and it looks like real rain at 4 and 6, which is exactly when we’d be riding and “picnicing.”
So with the rained out Hale’s Ale bail-out in mind, I think it is probably wise to call it now. So sad. Have eyeballs in jello ready to go.
Happy to hear feedback below if you think this was the right or wrong call, for next time.

Sounds like a blast! What is the anticipated gassworks-slu route? It will be getting darkish by the return.
I like the east-side of Fremont Bridge to wide sidewalk/multi-use paths and parking lots on the Lake Union side of Westlake for getting to SLU. Dexter is steep and fast, and Westlake proper is too much of an arterial. Definitely want to have front and rear lights for this ride - it's that dark time of the year.
Sounds like fun. We'll have to head out before the haunted steamship... but will catch the early part of the Halloween bike party!
What a beautiful trip. I really have to get to the US soon, there are so many things to see and do. Just a quick question though... what is the difference between a kidical mass bike and a normal kids bike?
Bummer, Last Saturday in So. Cal it rained, it barely rains in So Cal, and I can relate to looking at the hourly weather reports.
Your event sounded like a lot of fun!
Keep posting, I enjoy your topics.
